The music of Telepath strives to do all of this. Formed in 2006 and hailing from Philadelphia PA via Asheville NC, Telepath is a unique new expression in the current live and electronic music scenes. The 3-piece comprised of Michael Christie (keyboards), Curt Heiny (bass) and Mike B (drums) use a wide variety of self-created samples containing Indian and Arabic singers and musicians, Afrobeat-influenced horn lines, dubbed-out effects, and much more to generate the multi-layered sound that is Telepath. Extensively touring in support of their debut album Fire One (2006), Telepath has played to passionate audiences at theaters, clubs, and festivals around the country. Now, with the September 2008 release of their second album Contact, Telepath continues the development of a loyal and ever-growing fan base, as well as their commitment to creating a positive and inspiring environment both on record, and in live performance.

PJ Geissinger aka Starkey and MOVES!!! is a fast rising star hailing from the electronic underground. His energetic dj performances combined with his original production sound are making him a hotly tipped act and producer of the future. Starkey is co-owner of Slit Jockey Records and a member of the Seclusiasis and TROUBLE AND BASS crews.
Following his recent success stateside, Starkey was selected by Vex’d as one of seven new DJs for Radio 1’s MARY ANNE HOBBS’ low end special ‘Generation Bass’ and was the only non-UK DJ to be chosen. If you like grime, dubstep, hip-hop and all things bass then Starkey’s hard edged spaced out street bass is the sound for you. His sound is often compared to the likes of Vex’d, Skream, Zomby and Tipper to name a few.
Starkey’s first full-length album “Ephemeral Exhibits” was released late 2008 on the seminal Planet Mu label. It has received rave reviews around the globe, with the Wire saying “Ephemeral Exhibits is compressed into mid-range blasts of yowling, plastic synth lines over peg-legged stutter-beats. (Starkey) has allowed (himself) to see the forest for the trees, and locate (his) place within a tangled history of electronic dance music.” And NME wrote, “(Starkey’s) tracks sparkle with sonic wit and real tenderness. His Stateside ‘street bass’ sound is a bright neon beacon of hope.” Over the past five years, Starkey has had a string of vinyl, CD and digital releases on labels such as Peace-Off/Ruff (France), Nonclassical (UK), Dead Homies (US), Starksound/Rag&Bone (UK), Offshore (US) and LoDubs (US), Creative Space (Greece) and Dress 2 Sweat (UK).
