From destructive bass drops to inventive melodies, Kozmoz captures two sides of the dubstep coin within his unique approach to production. His vision symbolizes the bridge between distant worlds and Earth, encompassing both luminous and grimey tones throughout innovative soundscapes and vibrant collaborations. Kozmoz, also known as Matthias Seyss, currently resides in Saint Louis. With releases on Subsidia, Halcyon, Disciple Round Table and Bassweight Records, he’s positioned at the forefront of modern bass music.
The Dystopia EP, his debut on Halcyon, set a new standard for the subgenre of future riddim and featured his collaboration Autonetic with Oolacile. He also appeared on Figure’s Terror Vision tour in 2017. Kozmoz’s unique sound design continues to advance the industry, and is nouveau in a way that encompasses both suspenseful tearout and colorful bass. The utopia created within his soundscapes channels both his roots of producing and the contemporary twist that keeps his music fresh and appealing across the genre.
