Those familiar with Alex B already know that he tends to take a layered approach to everything, especially his music. The tracks on “Moments” are intricately crafted with painstaking care and attention to detail — a careful mix of analog and digital sounds elevated by imaginative samples and the insight of a classically trained musician. The result is a blend of timeless warmth and future beats that is as easily adaptable to introspective time with headphones as it is to group mania on a mobbed dance floor… his live shows hit hard and heavy, smashing the clubs every time.

“Moments”, his first full-length, was released not only on 1320 Records, but also his own highly-regarded “Elm&Oak” label (which he’s exploded into a creative hub for graphic design, clothing, graffiti, photography and event promotion). The album release was a huge success, kicking off the tour at LA’s famed “Low End Theory”, the authority on up-and-coming bass music. LA Times did quite an article welcoming him in. Since then, he’s embarked on major tours, hit the festival circuit in a huge way, including Moogfest, done a mix of original tracks for Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder, appeared on BBC Radio 1’s ultra-famous “Mary Ann Hobbs Show”, and collaborated and/or shared the stage with folks like Prefuse 73, Flying Lotus, Break Science,
Lotus, Eliot Lipp, and countless, countless others.

“Whether he is remixing Dilla or creating patchwork masterpieces, his resourcefulness is as prominent as his passion. Be on the lookout for his full-length album.” – URB Magazine
